Cure Diabetes with Sweets? The Shocking Truth About Sugar vs. Taste

Let's talk about the relationship between sweets and our health. Generally, we're told, "Don't eat sweets, it will ruin your health." But today, I’m going to tell you the opposite: "Eat sweets, and you will be healthy."

Believe it or not, I have come to understand that there is a deep, profound connection between the taste of sweetness, the element of earth energy, our stomach, our spleen, our lips, and even the emotion of worry.

Have you ever noticed the shape of your lips? In my view, if you trace the outline of your spleen, you’ll find it's a perfect match. This isn’t a coincidence. If someone has a sore on their lip, I don't believe in treating the lip. The real problem lies with the stomach and spleen. When you have a problem with your stomach, it shows up on your lips. That’s how closely they are connected.

The Sweet Taste That Powers Your Digestion

In the old days, if someone’s stomach felt heavy or their food wasn't digesting, what was the advice? "Eat something sweet." Because when you eat something sweet, your stomach gets to work.

The taste of "sweetness" is a powerful signal. The tiny taste buds on our tongue are designed to receive this signal. When the sweet taste touches your tongue, it is converted into an "earth energy current" that is sent to every single cell in your body, powering your digestive system. This sweet taste is essential for our health.

The Surprising Link Between Worry, Appetite, and Diabetes

Have you ever noticed that when you're worried, you lose your appetite? Why is that? The emotion of worry, in my opinion, literally consumes the "earth energy" in your body. When that energy is depleted, you have no desire to eat.

Think about a mother whose child is late coming home from school. As the hours pass, she's filled with anxiety. Do you think she's thinking about food? No. But the moment she gets a call saying her child is safe and on the way, what happens? She feels a wave of relief, and suddenly, she's hungry. The worry is gone, and her body’s energy is restored.

For many people, I believe the real reason they develop diabetes is worry. This chronic worry prevents the stomach from doing its job. It can't digest properly. So, when sugar enters the system, it isn't broken down correctly. It turns into "bad sugar," and the pancreas, which is working just fine, refuses to release insulin for it. This is what leads to the disease.

A symbolic image showing the emotion of worry suppressing the stomach's digestive function, which is the root cause of high blood sugar.

Sugar is a Substance. Sweetness is a Sensation.

This is a crucial point that most people miss. Sugar and sweetness are two completely different things.

Let me ask you this: eating idli doesn't raise your blood sugar, but eating a jalebi does. Why? You might be shocked to learn that, gram for gram, there is far more sugar in an idli than in a jalebi.

So, what's going on? It's simple. Sugar is a physical substance that needs to be digested in your stomach. Sweetness, on the other hand, is a taste, a sensation that is "digested" by your tongue.

Here's a fact that might blow your mind: no sugar is actually sweet. A potato has one of the highest concentrations of sugar (carbohydrates) on the planet. Is it sweet? No. Why not? Because sugar is a substance, and sweetness is a taste. They are not the same.

When you put a jalebi in your mouth, the sweetness is immediately detected by your tongue. This taste sends an energy signal to your stomach, telling it to start working. This energy then helps your stomach digest the sugar that is already sitting there from other foods, like the potato. The jalebi itself has very little sugar, but its intense sweetness is what activates your digestive fire.

The Secret to Curing Diabetes is in How You Eat

The problem is not that you are eating sweets. The problem is that you are swallowing them.

Give me ten dates. I will only be able to eat two. Why? Because I will chew those two dates so thoroughly, turning them into a liquid paste in my mouth, that I will extract every last bit of sweetness from them. By the time I put the third one in my mouth, my tongue will say, "That's enough!" and it will be overwhelmingly sweet.

But what do most of us do? We eat ten dates and still want more. This means we are swallowing them without truly tasting them.

So, here is my conclusion. If you swallow your sweets, you will get diabetes. If you chew your sweets properly and truly taste them, you will cure your diabetes.

The issue isn’t the pancreas. It's the digestive system. So, the next time you eat, take your time. Be hungry, close your lips, and chew your food into a liquid paste. Pay attention to the taste. When you do this, your food will be digested properly, creating "good sugar" that your body can use. Then, if you eat something sweet, it will only help the process. Your tongue is your doctor, and taste is your medicine. Understand this, and you will understand the path to true health.
