Stop Hair Fall and Regrow Lost Hair: My 4 Simple Secrets

Let’s talk about hair fall. How can we fix it naturally? Before we jump into remedies, I believe we first need to understand why our hair falls out in the first place.

Is your hair damaged? Do you know the reason? In my experience, it boils down to two fundamental things: your sleep and your state of mind.

If you sleep peacefully, your hair will not fall out. Period. If you live a life that is pleasing to your heart, your hair will not fall out. But if your sleep is disturbed, or if you are constantly forced to live in a way that goes against your inner desires, your hair will begin to shed.

These two things are the foundation. If you can fix them, not only will your hair stop falling, but it will even begin to grow back in the places where it was lost.

1. The Secret of Restful Sleep

You have to sleep peacefully. But most of us don't, do we? How can you tell if your sleep was truly restful? It’s simple.

When you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? If you can instantly recall the last thing you did before bed—the TV show you watched, the argument you had, the song you heard—then I’m sorry to say, you did not sleep peacefully.

Think about a child. When a child wakes up, they are in a daze. Their mind is groggy and unfocused. If you ask them their name, they won't respond immediately. We say they are still "waking up." That is the sign of true, deep sleep. It takes a few minutes for the brain to reboot.

I believe that real sleep is when your brain completely switches off. But for most of us, our brain is still running all night. The moment you wake up, it’s instantly active, replaying yesterday’s events. That means you didn't truly rest.

My advice for achieving this deep sleep is simple: sleep while sitting for half an hour before you lie down. At night, just before you go to bed, sit comfortably, let your neck hang, and doze off. After about 30 minutes of this, you can then lie down. This initial period of sitting sleep allows your brain to fully power down, leading to a much deeper, more restorative rest. When you sleep like this, your hair fall will stop.

2. The Importance of Living Authentically

The second secret is to live a life that your heart agrees with. I’ve noticed something interesting. Go out on the street, and you’ll see many men with bald patches. But have you ever seen a woman who is completely bald? It’s incredibly rare.

Why do you think this is? In my view, it’s because women tend to live from their heart (the mind), while men are often forced to live from their intellect (the brain). Women think from here [points to heart], and men think from here [points to head].

When you constantly live in your intellect—analyzing, calculating, researching, and stressing—your hair will fall out. When you live from your heart, following what feels right, your hair will stay. Some men have a thick, full head of hair. Why? Because they are the ones who think with their heart.

The mind knows what it likes and dislikes. The intellect knows what is right and wrong. If you are constantly forcing yourself to do things you dislike, even if your intellect says it's the "right" thing to do, your body will be in a state of constant stress. This tension in your brain restricts blood flow to your scalp, and your hair begins to fall out. The body says, "I have to deal with all this stress; I don't have the energy to spare for hair," and it lets it go.

3. The Power of Doing Nothing

This might sound strange, but if you want your hair to grow, you need to learn to be idle. You need to just sit and do nothing.

What does it mean to be idle? It means to be without any work, any thought, any activity. Many of us don't even know what this feels like. We are always doing something. And when you are always "on," your hair falls out.

In places like Germany, people will work for an hour or two and then take a two-minute break where they do absolutely nothing. In that state of idleness, the body renews itself. When you are relaxed and at ease, your hair will stop falling out. Being idle is a form of meditation. There’s no big difference. It allows you to relax, and a relaxed body is a healthy body.

4. The Inversion Secret: Reversing the Flow

Finally, if you can, practice yoga asanas where your head is below your heart. Poses like Sirsasana (Headstand) or Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand) reverse the flow of gravity and send a rich supply of blood to your scalp. When you increase blood flow to the brain, hair fall naturally stops.

So, here are my four secrets to stopping hair loss and regrowing your hair:

  1. Sleep peacefully (by sitting up first).

  2. Live a life that is pleasing to your heart.

  3. Learn to be idle and do nothing.

  4. Practice inverted yoga poses.

Follow these four principles, and I am confident that your hair will not only stop falling but will begin to grow back, thick and strong.
