Sudden Weight Gain or Loss? Your Thyroid is Being Blamed for a Deeper, Darker Problem.

You’re gaining weight no matter how little you eat. Or maybe you're wasting away, becoming lean and tense for no reason. You feel exhausted, your bones ache, and you’re told the culprit is a single, butterfly-shaped gland in your neck: your thyroid. But I've come to believe this is a dangerous misdirection. What if your thyroid isn't the villain at all? What if it's the first victim?

The Great Calcium Lie

We’re told to drink milk to get calcium for strong bones. It seems logical, but I want you to stop and think for a moment. Do hens drink milk? No, yet their eggs are filled with calcium, and even the shell itself is made of it. Do cows drink milk? Of course not. They eat grass and leaves, yet they produce milk overflowing with calcium.

The truth, as I see it, is that calcium is present in almost all foods, especially green plants and grains. The problem is not a lack of calcium; it's the quality of the calcium in your blood.

Just like with sugar, I believe there are two types:

  • Good Calcium: This is high-potency calcium that comes from food that has been properly and completely digested.

  • Bad Calcium: This is low-potency, poor-quality calcium that results from improper digestion.

This distinction is the key to everything.

Your Thyroid: The Innocent Storehouse

Your thyroid gland is an intelligent manager. One of its jobs is to regulate the amount of calcium in your blood. When there is an excess of good calcium, the thyroid carefully takes it and stores it in your bones, making them strong and healthy.

But what happens when your blood is filled with low-quality, bad calcium from poor digestion? The thyroid, doing its job, takes this bad calcium and deposits it in your bones. But you cannot build a strong house with rotten bricks. When bones are built with this bad calcium, they become diseased. They can rot, become brittle and break, or grow misshapen and bulge.

So when doctors point to your bones and blame your thyroid, I believe they are blaming the builder for being given faulty materials. The source of all bone-related thyroid diseases, in my view, is not the gland itself, but the toxic quality of the calcium in your blood.

A conceptual image of the thyroid gland as a builder forced to use "bad calcium" to construct bones, leading to bone disease.

The Mystery of Sudden Weight Changes

This goes even deeper. It explains the sudden, uncontrollable weight gain or weight loss that so many people experience.

Our muscles need to do two things: contract and expand. I believe the thyroid is responsible for supplying the right materials from the blood for these actions to happen.

  • For muscles to EXPAND: They need good calcium, among other things. If the calcium in your blood is "bad," the thyroid can't supply the right material. Your muscles can still contract, but they can't fully expand back. They become stuck in a state of tension. This is why some people become startlingly lean and tense.

  • For muscles to CONTRACT: They need good sodium, among other things. If the sodium in your blood is poor quality, the thyroid can't provide the right ingredients for contraction. Your muscles can expand, but they can't fully contract back. They become stuck in a bloated, expanded state. This is why some people suddenly become obese.

Again, is the thyroid at fault? Or is it the poor-quality ingredients it’s being forced to work with?

The Path to True Healing

From my perspective, scanning your thyroid, performing surgery on it, or taking medication for it is completely useless. It's like fixing the dashboard warning light instead of the engine. The disease will only get worse because you are ignoring the root cause.

I believe thyroid-related diseases can only be cured by improving the quality of the ingredients in your blood. By focusing on your digestive power, you can create good calcium, good sodium, and all the other high-potency materials your body needs.

Don’t be afraid of milk, but avoid the processed, packaged liquid sold in stores. Fresh milk from a cow is a wonderful food. Your body doesn't get sick from real food. It gets sick when it can't digest it properly.

By healing your digestion, you can heal the quality of your blood. And by healing your blood, you can free your thyroid to do its job properly and restore your body to its natural, healthy state.
